Florence AT photographer

In the summer of 2025, at the initiative of the DRAC and the City of Castelsarrasin, the photographer Florence AT will conduct a residency at the 31st Engineer Regiment.

The series presented comprises sixteen portraits taken within the barracks and accompanied by interviews. Each portrait retraces a career and a profession: bomb disposal expert, communications specialist, maintenance technician, construction worker, sports officer, administrator, etc., through the precision of a gesture or a uniform. For operational discretion, no names are given in captions: the texts provided by the individuals photographed situate each image within its context.

Presented as window decals on the windows of the city's music school, the photographs move from the barracks to the public space: the image becomes a threshold between inside/outside, institution/city, representation/use, designed to be seen, heard and shared.
